Why this exists
Your migraine just hit. Your app wants twenty questions.
Severity, duration, symptoms, what you ate, how you slept. Right when the last thing you can do is look at a screen.
So you stop logging. A few months later there's no data, and the whole exercise was pointless.
Threshold needs one tap. Everything after it is optional.
Logging
One tap. The rest is optional.
Start it from the lock screen, the Action Button, your watch, or Siri. That tap is the only thing Threshold actually needs. It stamps the time and starts the timer.
Severity, the dose you took, a few words dictated with your eyes shut: all there if you want them, all skippable. Add them during, add them tomorrow, or never.
Skipping doesn't spoil anything. An attack with nothing but a start and an end still counts toward your patterns.
And while an attack is running, the whole app dims itself.
Patterns
What actually sets yours off.
Triggers stack. One bad night is nothing. One bad night during a pressure drop is something.
Threshold watches the combinations across every attack you've logged, tells you which ones hold up, and says plainly when it doesn't have enough yet to call one.
The more it can see, the sharper that gets. Weather it picks up on its own. Sleep and heart rate turn up if you wear something that tracks them. Stress it only knows if you answer when it asks, which takes a few seconds.
Same for your medication. Every dose gets tied to what happened next, so the answer is a count rather than a feeling.
Forecast
See the week before you commit to it.
Seven days out it's mostly barometric pressure, read against your own history. Sleep and stress sharpen the next day or two, because nobody can forecast how you'll sleep on Friday. Enough warning to move the thing that can move.
History
Every attack, where you left it.
A month at a glance, each day tinted by how bad it got. Scroll the list underneath, or tap a day to jump straight to it.
Retroactive logging is there too, for the ones you were too far gone to record at the time.
Your data
What leaves your phone, and what doesn't.
Apple Health stays put. Threshold reads your sleep and heart rate on the device, uses them to work out your patterns, and never uploads the raw numbers.
Your migraine log syncs, so it reaches your other devices and survives a lost phone. Nothing else leaves unless you say so.
If there's ever a way to contribute anonymized data to sharpen the analysis, it'll be off by default, explained in plain words, and it will never include your Health data or anything you typed.
Export the whole thing whenever you want, in a format you can open and read. No ads, no trackers, nothing sold to anyone.
